WordPress integration
Every WordPress form, verified as it is typed.
One plugin, two layers: live hints under each email field from the Verifyre widget, and server-side validation hooks for the form builders and WooCommerce, so a bad address cannot slip through even with JavaScript off.
Version 1.0.0. Requires WordPress 5.8+ and PHP 7.4+. GPL-2.0.
What it does
Verifyre and WordPress, together.
Works with the forms you have
Contact Form 7, WPForms, Gravity Forms, Elementor Pro forms, WooCommerce checkout and registration, and the core registration form. No form has to be rebuilt.
Blocks at submit, not after
Undeliverable addresses are rejected with a clear message (and a suggested correction for typos) before the entry is saved or the order is placed.
Cheap and resilient
Verdicts are cached for 24 hours in transients, so a retry never costs a second credit, and every check fails open: if Verifyre cannot be reached, the form still submits.
Setup guide
Set up WordPress in 3 steps.
You will need a Verifyre account (free, 100 credits) and an API key from Settings, then API keys.
Download and install the plugin
Download the zip below, then in WordPress go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the file and activate it. It is 20 KB of plain PHP with no build step and no external libraries.
Paste your API key
Create a key at verifyre.co under Settings, then API keys (name it after the site), and paste it under Settings, then Verifyre. The screen confirms the connection and shows your credit balance. Tick the forms you want protected and whether undeliverable addresses should be blocked.
textSettings -> Verifyre API key: vfy_live_... (from verifyre.co/app/api) Block undeliverable: [x] Which forms: [x] Contact Form 7 [x] WPForms [x] Gravity Forms [x] Elementor Pro [x] WooCommerce [x] Registration Live hints (widget): [x] Fields: input[type=email]Test a form
Type gmai.com into any email field: the widget suggests gmail.com. Submit a made-up address at a real domain: the form is rejected with your error message. Everything that passes is tagged with a hidden verifyre_status field you can read in the entry.
Write-back
What gets written back to WordPress.
Verification only reads. Writing results back is a separate step you trigger after reviewing the counts, and nothing is ever deleted without your say-so.
- A hidden verifyre_status field (deliverable, undeliverable, risky, unknown) on every submission, stored with the entry by form builders that keep submitted fields.
- Rejected submissions with your own error text, plus a "Did you mean name@gmail.com?" hint when the domain looks like a typo.
- Nothing is written to Verifyre beyond the check itself; your entries stay in WordPress.
