About this tool
What a disposable address is
A disposable (or temporary, throw-away, burner) email address comes from a service that hands out inboxes with no sign-up and no expectation of permanence. Some expire after ten minutes, some are public so anyone who guesses the name can read the mail, and some are kept for a day or two. People use them to grab a download, claim a trial or dodge a newsletter. Well-known providers include Mailinator, 10minutemail, Guerrilla Mail, Temp Mail and YOPmail, but the long tail is enormous: providers register new domains constantly to escape blocklists, which is why a hand-maintained list of a few hundred names stops working within weeks.
How the checker works
Paste up to 100 addresses. Each one is parsed, and its domain is looked up against Verifyre's disposable list, rebuilt every day from several maintained sources and currently holding more than 10,000 domains. Parent domains are checked at every level, so a subdomain of a known provider is caught too. The result shows every address with a verdict, and because the same lookup also knows free providers and role prefixes, those are noted alongside. Malformed addresses are reported separately so you can fix them. Everything can be copied as CSV.
What to do with disposable addresses
Do not email them. The inbox has almost certainly expired, so the message bounces and the bounce counts against your domain, not against the provider that caused it. Remove them from marketing lists, and more importantly stop them at the door: the Verifyre form widget and WordPress plugin decline disposable addresses while the visitor is still typing, with a friendly request for a permanent one. In the API, checks.disposable is true and the score is 0, so a sign-up endpoint can refuse the account or route it for review. If your product has a free tier, this is the single most effective control against repeated trial abuse.
Privacy relays such as Apple's Hide My Email and SimpleLogin are not disposable: they forward to a real inbox and are treated as deliverable.
