About this tool
What counts as a free provider
A free mailbox provider gives anyone a permanent address at its own domain at no cost: Gmail, Outlook.com and Hotmail, Yahoo in all its country variants, iCloud, Proton, GMX, Web.de, Mail.ru, QQ, Yandex, AOL and a few hundred regional services. These are not disposable; the inbox is real, personal and lasts for years. What they tell you is that the address belongs to a person rather than to an organisation's own domain.
Why sort them out
For B2B teams, a free address on a lead form usually means a student, a freelancer, a competitor, or someone who does not want to be contacted at work. Many sales tools route free-provider leads to a lower-touch sequence or ask for a work email instead. For consumer brands the opposite applies: free addresses are the core audience and business domains may be a sign of a reseller. For deliverability, free providers behave differently as receivers. Gmail, Microsoft and Yahoo each run their own reputation system, so knowing what share of your list sits with each lets you warm up and pace sends by provider instead of hitting all three at once.
How the detector works
Paste up to 100 addresses. Each one is parsed and its domain is checked against Verifyre's free-provider list, which is maintained alongside the disposable list. Every row shows free or business, with role-account and disposable notes alongside and any likely domain typo flagged. Malformed addresses are reported separately. Copy everything as CSV.
The same flag is part of every Verifyre verification. The email checker and the bulk cleaner show free mailbox on the result, the API returns checks.free, and exports carry it as a column, so you can build a work-email-only segment or a per-provider warm-up plan without a second tool. If you need the exact provider rather than a free-or-not flag, the provider finder reads the MX records and names it.
